After almost ten years of volunteering doing books at St Vincent De Paul, I sadly say goodbye to all the friends and customers I have made there. Over several years I have asked to be put on the payroll for at least 5 hours a week, and I would donate the rest of my time. I put in 12-20 hours per week. I have been told many times there is no budget to add me in. Yet people still keep getting hired in. I need to have income starting to show for Social security. I can’t volunteer my time anymore. Franny will be taking over the book room. Please take your request to her. I have tried to tell her all the peoples requests, and books I was setting aside for people. So you might want to stop in and talk to her. Thanks for your friendship and honor of serving the community this long in an area working with the books and people I love.
