Mouth Watering...:
My sweetheart & I have been hearing about this "hidden treasure" for some time now. I've lived in hampton roads since I was a kid, some 25 years now. This is the first time that we've been to Steinhilbers. I treated my sweetheart to a wonderful evening out just recently. We could not of been any happier. I had the steak & lobster and to be honest, I was so into my food that I don't remember what Jenn had. I had to close my eyes on a few of my bites and chew real slow to enjoy every second. Mouth watering! The service was excellent and the enviroment was stellar as well. The owner came up to us and welcomed us, and I was sure to thank her for the amazing dining experience. We will most certainly be regulars. Thanks Steiny's!!! A 10 from us!

Food was average. I do not know why this place is so special. Everything is overprised. Wait was quiet, but not friendly at all. When we arrived there, many tables were available, but they made us wait for 25 minutes.

This is our third visit and we love it. We went on Saturday evening with no wait time, the food was great, beautiful atmosphere. Everyone was pleasant and respectful. I even had enough for leftovers the next day.

Steinhilber's Restaurant Review:
Since 1939, this elegant yet cozy, family-operated bastion of seafood and classic American fare --- twice baked potato, anyone? --- hidden away amidst Southern pines in a residential neighborhood has seen countless birthdays, anniversaries, prom dates, and plain old special nights out. “Steiny’s shrimp” (fried jumbo fantail) with its signature sauce is rightly legendary, but fresh shucked...

One of the oldest family owned and operated restaurants in Virginia specializes in seafood and Southern hospitality.:
The Scene
This charming cabin (built in 1937) with its cozy fireplace has long been a local dining favorite. The wooden deck has lovely views of the Lynnhaven River; an open dining room...

Since before the Second World War, this mainstay in Virginia Beach has been serving jumbo fantail shrimp, golden fried and lightly seasoned, to generations of grateful patrons. Try the signature sauce, a tangy elixir that is served with the fantail, it's a sure bet your taste buds will thank for it. Enjoy any of the day's selections at this charming...
