Dr. Fernandez has been great with all my pets the past 5 years. His team have treated and cared for my dogs when they have had cancer and immune disorders with the best care I’ve ever seen. The whole group at Stone Oak Vet is wonderful and compassionate, I wouldn’t trust anyone else to treat my pets.

I came into this vet clinic with my sister and her old dog. We didn't even see a doctor because we were so turned off by the demeanor of the vet tech we saw in the room. I don't know what her name is but she is a heavy set woman with black hair, maybe Hispanic. My sister's dog is old and has tumors everywhere but she wanted some more quality time with him. We brought him in because he was coughing, not because we thought he should be put to sleep right then and there. However the technician did not want to hear about the cough which had started the previous day. She just talked about his being old and his tumors and told us if it was her dog she would put it to sleep. She made us feel guilty that we were not doing it that day. When we called the office manager to complain she defended that woman, saying she was just being truthful and not sugar coating and she has a lot of experience. All this was completely irrevalent because it's not that we are not aware he will need to be put to sleep but we were not there that day to discuss that. Furthermore, it's actually a bad thing that she has been working in the vet field for such a long time because she should know better than to talk to customers that way. We were so upset by her rude and unprofessional behavior that we walked out before even seeing the doctor. We took him to another vet clinic that was great. He did great for a month and we had him put to sleep earlier this week. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL TO ANYONE JUST BECAUSE OF THAT WOMAN WHO HAS NO COMPASSION FOR THE ANIMALS OR THEIR OWNERS. THE FACT THAT THE MANAGER DEFENDED HER SHOWS THAT THE REST OF THE STAFF ALSO FEELS THAT IT IS OK TO MAKE CUSTOMERS FEEL GUILTY ABOUT THEIR OWN DECISIONS WHICH SHOULD NOT BE BASED ON THE OPINIONS OF THE EMPLOYEES!
