It's PAINFULLY obvious that you have NEVER been to Summer Wind Stables ! My 8 yr old son has been riding English there for 2 years now and LOVES IT ! Riding, showing, summer camp - don't get me started - He would LIVE there if he could ! The trainers are TOP NOTCH: professional and very knowledgeable and they teach with kindness and much encouragement. Not only is he learning to ride like a pro but every aspect of horse management - from grooming, barn care, anatomy. The lesson horses are super friendly and I would trust every one of those ponies to safely guide my child. It is obvious by their personalities that they are well taken care of and loved by all. It is a very family oriented feeling there. We live about 30 minutes away and there a LOT more stables closer but NO WAY ! We will never leave Summer Winds !

My husband surprised me with a month's worth of horseback riding and tack lessons this past October. I love to ride but haven't ridden in a number of years, but everyone is so nice & patient. The trainer is friendly, patient and really knows horses and I've advanced a lot in just a couple of months. I found everything I needed in the tack shop, and they helped me with fit and purpose of what I needed. Even if you haven't ridden in years, I highly recommend reviving your love for riding here. Everyone is so friendly and treat their customers (and their horses!) very well.

I took my little one to Summer Wind when she was 4 years old never thinking she would fall in love with riding! Three years later, Summer Wind is her absolute favorite place to be! Not only are the instructors top notch, they also teach about ALL aspects of riding and taking care of horses! They are very supportive of the whole child (and their terrified parents when the child is learning a difficult skill ;)) Many stables around us do not teach that hard work is part of taking care of an animal. I wanted our child to learn every part of taking care of animals, not just hand the horse off to a trainer when lessons were over. One of her favorites aspects is the "stable life" --mucking stalls, brushing the horses, and being with her friends. We have developed friendships that will last a lifetime at Summer Wind. It is a family there -- couldn't ask for more!

I have been at Summer Wind since I was 9 years old. Of all the places I've spent time through my childhood years, now, at 22, this is the one place I can truly call my home-away-from-home. In such a long time, I've seen many people come and go, but we have always seemed to build a strong sense of family with one another. Those people who are 'to good' for the rest of the horse world don't stick around, because that's not what this place is about. It's about learning how to love, respect and care for horses. It's about teaching safety while still allowing students to be independent. It's DEFINITELY about developing a bond between horses and humans that will carry an immeasurable value throughout a child's (or adult's!) entire life. After many years, the community here is the strongest I've ever seen it...I love you guys, I'm not going anywhere!

We give horseback riding lessons, school break camps, horse showing, hunter jumpers, eventing, United States Pony Club, IEA teams for high school and middle school students. We also lease our horses to experienced riders. We give pony rides at your facility for parties, both private and corporate. We also have provisions for pony ride parties at our facility. We have lessons, boarding, summer and other off school camps, horse training, showing, pony rides for parties. We are an official United States Pony Club Riding Center. We have been in business for 20 years and have enjoyed a wonderful reputation of safety, and having taught excellent horsemanship which allows our riders to ride in any discipline and excell.
