My complaint to the BBB:
I rented a 2008 Pleasure Way RV for 16 nights starting July 16 from Wally Williams at Suncoast RV Rental for myself, my wife, and my two children. When I picked up the vehicle, there was another employee who gave me a very brief checkout, which included numbers for a technician to call (Drew)and for repairs/emergency. Our first night on the road (July 17), the generator would not start and hence there was no AC in the back for my children and no electrical source for them to play their video X-box game. I spoke with Drew who led me through several checkpoints, and we were still unable to get the generator to start. The next day, I met up with the roadside assistance technician who fixed the problem. The generator worked up until July 29th where it again would not start. I again went through several checkpoints via telephone with Drew who could not get the generator to start. I informed Mr. WIlliams of this problem both by email on that day and in person when I returned the vehicle. He later informed me that the oil was low, and that it was my responsibility to have that checked and fixed and thus did not reimburse me for several days rental of a malfunctioned vehicle, and in fact, charged me for the service call ($324) he was charged on for July 18.
Other issues I had with the vehicle which I informed Mr. Williams about: 1) The rear of the vehicle bounced extremely above what the standard RV should be allowed to bounce placing my kids (and myself when I sat in the back) in jeopardy of injury (my son hit his head on the ceiling) and GI distress (nausea). 2) it smelled of cigarette smoke upon check out and I did mark several areas "unsatisfactory" regarding the cleanliness of the vehicle at check out. 3) the windows leaked. 4) the outside panels were barely attached and one did fly off toward the end of the trip. I was charged $92 for this panel, which I never opened/touched previously. Mr. Williams blew off these concerns and acted as though these were normal wear-and-tear issues that needed to be fixed, yet I was charged full-price for a completely functional vehicle.
I was charged twice $25 for "extra driver" charge.

Beware, DON'T USE:
This business is a total ripoff, not only monetarily but they provide unpreped unsafe RV's for rental. Manager Wally Williams is a con artist. Don't Use them.
