This is the FIRST complaint Sundown Window Tinting has ever had from a customer since our business was established in 2001. We've made our offer to Todd McCormick (raptastic) to correct and rectify his complaints and problems in which he states he has with the window film, yet he refuses to rationally resolve his issue with Sundown Window Tinting. As the Owner of Sundown Window Tinting, in response to Todd McCormick. The customer contacted us and requested the specific "Drei" series film and also Huper Optik Ceramic 70%. We tinted his car and told him of any imperfections he may experience during the curing/drying time (which is 4 to 10 weeks, and is specifically noted on the warranty card from Huper Optik). When Mr. McCormick contacted us about the alleged "flaws", we offered to pay him $150.00 in gas for him to travel to Alabama for us to examine and correct any and all imperfections in which he found in the film/tinting. We attempted to have him contact closer Huper Optik Dealers, therefore he would not have had to travel out of state, so he could have any issues resolved/corrected professionally by an authorized, factory trained Huper Optik dealer but to no avail on Mr. McCormick's part. He refused our offer to pay for his trip to Birmigham, he had no interest in contacting another Huper Optik dealer closer to him to have his alleged "flaws" corrected. Sundown Window Tinting ALWAYS stands behind their window film (Huper Optik), the installation and the labor and will make sure ALL of our customers are satisfied with our workmanship. If a customer later finds there is a problem with the film or installation, we do and have always repaired/replaced the film at no charge to the customer. Yet, Mr. McCormick did not want Sundown Window Tinting (or any other authorized Huper Optik Dealers) to correct the alleged flaws. We cater to all of our customers request, just as we did Mr. McCormick's. Mr. McCormick intentionally traveled to Alabama to get the window film installed in which he knowingly knew would not meet his state's inspection (which is why he didn't get his Ford Raptor tinted with any local Huper Optik dealers in his area). In fairness, our offer still stands to pay for Mr. McCormick to travel back to Alabama so Sundown Window Tinting can repair and/or replace any window tinting in which Mr. McCormick is not satisfied with. This includes $150.00 in travel money, repair and/or replacment of the window film at NO CHARGE to Mr. MrCormick.
