Description

Overshadowing even the towering Saguaros, Superstition Mountain is surrounded by a number of neighboring mountains including Black mesa, Weaver's Needle and Miner's Needle. Many are accessible by trail. The Superstitions have long been cloaked in legend. Upon hearing of the mountains' mysteries from local Pima people, Civil War-era hay farmers, working for Fort McDowell, were quick to give them their signature nickname.
