I'm sure our story is much like many others at Sylvan, however since we had such a great experience I would like to share it with you in hopes it will give you that missing element you may need if you are not sure if enrolling your child is worth the cost.

Our son was in 4th grade and having difficulties staying up with his class. His academic level was about two years behind in both English and Math. He has always been very happy however, as he continued to fall behind. His confidence level also began to fall and he stopped answering questions in class because he either did not know the answer or was afraid his answer would be wrong. Finally he was enrolled in an IEP at his school in hopes it would at least stop him from continueing to fall behind, however it did not yield the results we were hoping for. Finally after seeing the commercials on TV about Sylvan we decided to enroll.
Shortly after beginning Sylvan, we started to see Cody's confidence improve. he actually looked forward to going to Sylvan after school. We saw much improvements not only academically but his attitude and self-confidence was improved immensely. In the short time he was enrolled, not only has he stopped falling behind and he actually made up about a year to a year and a half in both subject areas. He continues to do well, he is no longer falling behind and the techniques taught at Sylvan have stayed with him and helps him even today.
