If you decide to build a new home in the Bluffton, SC area BEWARE of Synergy Homes of South Carolina, LLC. www.synergyhomes.com We signed a contract to build a house 12/24/15. As part of the contract, Synergy was to buy the lot for the house to be built on. The lot was not closed by January 29, 2016, per our contract, but instead was closed over two months after this date. The house was supposed to be built 180 days after the pre-construction meeting which would be 7/16/16. As of May 5th, 2016, the lot had not been cleared or filled.

We asked our attorney to terminate the contract May 5th and for Synergy to return our earnest money within the 21 day period. We have not heard from Synergy or their President, Read Brennan. We are hoping that Synergy will do the right thing and refund our earnest money by June 3rd.
