David Teck and Carol Woolley opened World Cafe at 2820 Main St. in Santa Monica in February 1990 and haven't looked back. They had a vision for the location at the corner of Ashland Avenue. To see the widely artistic, colorful, textural and fantasy- filled design of the interiors, one knows that this vision comes from extremely creative, fearless individuals full of whimsy and theatricality.
World Cafe offers grilled steak, seafood, chicken, and lamb. Eclectic pastas, salads, weekend specials, vegetarian entrees, wood burning pizza oven, large outdoor patio and custom handmade cocktails served late into the evening.
