Poor service no actual work performed:
This review is submitted based on customer service and customer satisfaction rather than actual work performed as nothing was actually completed during the service technician appointment. I will attempt to state facts and separate opinion so you can determine if you would like to work with this company. I believe the main issue has been with the front desk personnel’s lack of knowledge, but now I can’t seem to get past them. I called and spoke with two different individuals on two separate occasions and left messages on two separate days after that requesting a manager or owner return my call and attempted e-mail, but have not heard from them yet. This is the basis for my issue.
I will concede that if I request services for repair of a broken appliance and a company is required to diagnose the problem than they are entitled to the non-refundable service charge. This would be the case whether I decide to spend the additional cost to actually complete the repair or not. This is NOT the circumstances that encompass my complaint. I’m a small business owner also and I do not believe the customer is always right. I do however feel that I should provide a service for which I am hired and if I cannot complete this, then I will not charge the individual.
During my initial call for service I described exactly what the issue was with my dishwasher. I’m a DIY’er and at this point I had already determined the 2“ hose which was leaking and called KitchenAid for a replacement part. I was informed the part did not come separate and must be purchased together with the pump ($185). All of this information was relayed during my initial phone conversation with the front office personnel. I incorrectly assumed that a repair company would have an abundance of spare parts they could use. I was prepared to pay a $65 service charge (plus parts @ $4-5) just so I could have the repair completed correctly. This is why I, AGAIN called the morning of the appointment to ensure all information was relayed to the repairman and he could call before arrival, if he had any questions.
The dishwasher was removed from the cabinet, drained and on its side prior to repairman arriving. He spent approximately two minutes looking at the dishwasher and another five trying to look up the parts list which I already had brought up on my computer screen. He agreed with everything I said, but mentioned nothing about actually knowing what hose he was supposed to be bringing and replacing. I did not intend to stay home from work for an entire day to be told something I already knew, just so I could schedule another day for the actual repair.
I’m simply requesting a refund for services that were NOT provided. They must have caller ID because now I’m directed to their message machine during each call and still have not received a return call from management. I obviously will not be recommending this company to friends, but it will be on my list to avoid.
