Scheduling nightmares and day-before-the-wedding cancellations!:
TarraDean Studio did my hair and make-up for my wedding day. I definitely would not recommend!!
Setting up appointments was a nightmare. I made them in early April (for a June Wedding). However, I called back a month later to try and push back the appts, and they rescheduled things to end later...but start at the same time.
Unfortunately, they booked every bridesmaid appt wrong. I emailed to fix that, and they supposedly resolved it in April.
But when I called back a month later to get the new appt times, they said it was too late to change any appts, and there was no way they could fix *my* mistake so close to the wedding day. After telling them it was their mistake I tried to fix over a month before, and calls to the original receptionist the salon owner, they finally told me they could squeeze everyone in for the appointments I had initially booked...assuming no one was getting anything too complicated!
A few days before the wedding, they called to confirm again and had everyone's appt totally wrong again, and some bridesmaids were totally missing! I called in a panic and it took several phone calls to resolve the issue yet again.
I was not happy with my 1st make-up trial. When I called to could resolve the issue, the receptionist informed me that the MUA I saw was the best in the salon and if I was too picky to be happy with her, I wouldn't be happy with any other MUA on staff. I asked for natural make-up, and my issues were really basic stuff (skin tone too dark, eyebrows not matching & wrong color, eyeliner line wonky). I took a day off from work for a second trial. It went...okay, although I was still concerned.
Finally, DURING MY WEDDING REHEARSAL, the salon called to tell me that the MUA I had done two trials with was suddenly unavailable to do my make-up in 14 hours for my wedding!! They found a replacement. It turned out fine in the end, but I was in tears at my rehearsal because of this place. I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy!
