Great palce to live in fort worth:
I visit this property a lot as an apartment locators and had leased many apartments at the Berkeley.

Disappointing!:
Positive—Great location, aesthetically pleasing, nice pool, decent workout facility.
Negatives—Price, they have been raising rent 20% in this economy if you can believe it!? Poorly constructed. If you live on the third floor, you are in great shape, the place is nice and quiet. If you live on the first or second floor, you will your upstairs neighbors every footstep, every time they flush the toilet or run the water, or use their garbage disposal. My experiences in interacting with the office have been terrible. They only know how to say, ‘no’, ‘can’t’, ‘won’t’, and fine you. One woman, Ursula, at least seems to hear you, but the rest are awful. If you are a TCU student, you may like being around other students, but if you are not, get ready to forget using the pool because it is like spring break there on weekends as students who live at the Berkeley give out the code to use the pool and all sorts of strangers come use it. Then, they will break bottles so the management’s response is to close it down for a week so no one can use it. Also, now they are on a kick to fine you if you don’t follow their garbage policy. You must pay a mandatory fee for garbage removal which is decent as they will take your garbage from your door. The problem? You can only put it out between 6-8 pm and must have your container back in by 9am the next morning. For people who have demanding work schedules, this is particularly challenging. But your fine can run from $25 to $75 or more! The gate to get in is awful and they have problems with it all of the time so it is usually left open, once again allowing anyone to enter. You access key is often not working. Also, they have codes to enter the gates, but they will change them without informing residents so you may get locked out. Oh, and parking. It is TERRIBLE! Again, since 3-4 college students may share an apartment, that is 3-4 cars for each apartment and it makes for an frustrating experience. Living there I felt more like a college student living in a dorm where the administration looks to fine and make life as unpleasant as possible. Oh, by the way , they raised their water bills so that they could tie it in to having residents pay for watering the lawns. If you live on the east end, the train runs right behind it and will keep you up.

Overpriced , not luxurious:
I lived at the Berkeley for a year. There is no parking , the management was poor and hard to deal with whenever problems arose , and at the end of the year (despite the current recession throughout the U.S) they tried to up my rent 20 % ! Not luxurious by any means and rooms which are quite small. Live there at your any risk.
Poor Quality, Poor Value, High Prices:
LPC has produced one of the poorest constructed multi unit apartment complexes. You hear neighbors talk, shower, flushing the commode, etc. etc. In addition, you hear every single person go up or down the stairs. This is not what I would expect from a luxury complex. And yes you pay the price for luxury, but really live in a poorly constructed dorm. The noise levels are horrendous, yet the neighbors are decently behaved. A huge disappointment and rip off!
