Ted Wyler The Driveway Store - Stay Away!:
Did not do the work paid for and what was done was totally unsatisfactory. Abandoned the job prior to completion.
April 28, 2010 I contracted with Ted Wyler to pave a parking pad and build a retaining wall at my home. He promised completion within two weeks. It is now July 24, 2010 and the project is not complete and I have fired Ted.
The first concrete pour didn’t happen until mid June, on the hottest day of the year up to that date. One man was on hand to float, stamp, stain and release the entire pour. Of course, the concrete set up in the heat before he could get it stamped, the stain and release were the wrong colors and the concrete is riddled with large cracks due to not being properly worked and setting too fast. The next fiasco was when the final pour was done. The concrete truck broke down in my driveway so they had to wash the concrete out of the chute and as much of the concrete as they could get out of the truck right in my front yard! While towing the concrete truck out the tires of the truck were half off the side of my nice aggregate driveway and broke off over 10 feet of the edge.
The wall is still not complete; I had to buy more stone to finish it and will have to buy all of the cap stones for the top and do the work myself in this July heat. Of course, the landscaping work I paid for will not be getting done.
I foolishly paid all but $900 of the contract fee after the concrete was poured. Since that payment Ted has disappeared, as there is way more than $900 worth of material and labor still required to finish the job. In truth, to get what I paid for, the whole paved area would have to be jack hammered apart, hauled off and redone. I have seen Ted on other jobs around town and he has completed many jobs since starting mine.
This man ripped me off, did poor work and abandoned the job leaving me with an eyesore instead of the beautiful project that should have been completed by May 14, 2010. He can do good work – I have seen it. Not much consolation to those of us he has ripped off.

saved the house and yard in the flood!:
Last Fall (Nov 09) the Driveway Store re-did my patio (which sloped towards the house), tore out the old drive and put in a new one, and installed 2 french drains on the carport to drain water away from the house. Things have been fine, but after the flood of May 2010, if Ted had not figured out how to do this, I would have had a disaster. Great job for me, great price, and great work. I highly recommend them.

Ted Wyler the rip off artist:
Ted Wyler took my money, did a crumby job on what was to be a beautiful driveway turnaround and then left to never return. He would not answer or return my phone calls.

It seems he is famous for this kind of business ethics. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy.
