The Git Down is a DJ'd, freeform dance venue held every Wednesday in Downtown Oakland. We serve up an eclectic mix of House, Funk, Soul, Electronica, Hip Hop, Latin and much more - Music that makes you want to move! Bring a friend or come solo. And be prepared to sweat and have a great time.

Every Wednesday night our DJ's are spinning music that makes you want to move. Come jam out to fluid, pumping mixes of House, Funk, Electronica, Hip Hop, Soul and more, for your ears, body and soul.
The Git Down is a new dance venue happening in the heart of Downtown Oakland on Wednesdays. We're about being real and truly getting down. We're an alcohol free space open to everyone 18 and up.
