In Somerville's Union Square, this comfortable neighborhood bar is a good spot to hit for a pint, martini, or hot toddy. Priced right are summertime gin-based cocktails (called Somerville 75, Corpse Reviver, Thyme Daly, Queen Charlotte, and Bees Knees) and quality brews (32 drafts, 60 bottles).

"What they do, they do well" at this "solid" Somerville saloon, where bartenders are "friendly and quick to refill" glasses of "tasty" "local and global" beer to accompany a "unique" New American menu with "something for everyone"; the "upscale but comfortable" "Irish-pub" environs, which feature trivia and DJs many nights, are "fun" for a "quick drop-by."

Reliable mid to upscale dining options in funky Union Square are hard to come by, so by default the casually sophisticated Indo is the go to spot. The restaurant is mostly an afterthought to the pub room however.
