The Mariner's Inn

The start of von Rutenberg Ventures goes back to 1961 when Bill and Betty von Rutenberg struck out on their own and purchased the Nibble Nook. This tiny eight stool hamburger spot (on East Washington Avenue just off the square) soon became hot spot for great burgers, fries, and shakes. Many customers today still mention how they loved those Nibble Nook burgers!

The Mariner's Inn has long been a hot-spot for steaks and seafood. Appetizer options include seafood-stuffed mushrooms with shrimp and crab meat, glazed with hollandaise. Entrées range from macadamia-encrusted grouper, stuffed orange roughy and Mediterranean tilapia with fresh salsa to Canadian lobster tails bursting with shrimp and blue crab meat. When Bill and Betty Von Rutenberg opened The Mariner's Inn in 1966, they set out to provide a steak and seafood dining experience like none other. Mouth watering, delicious steaks aged to perfection and an assortment of seafood from lobster to the famous Friday Fish Fry.
