The truth:
I've just read the negative reviews and the rebuttal "ATTENTION CUSTOMERS". Let me assure you, someone is playing foul.

It makes me so angry. The Wheel is a terrific bar with great music and the friendliest staff you could find anywhere.

This from a Brit who has no axe to grind. If ever I'm in Nashville again this is the first place I will visit.

(Katie / Chrissie, you may remember us. An Englishman and a Dutchman with a bad back who were over for the Barbershop convention last year. That evening with the unexpected appearance of Johnny Hiland is something I will remember on my death bed - and probably way beyond! Say hello if you read this.)

My favorite place to be in Nashville!:
I've been to Nashville 5 times now, and am planning trip number 6. Each time I have gone to The Wheel, the employees (Bartenders, Musicians, Bouncers) were so nice! They are friendly, accomodating, and want your time there to be fun. Any time I ask for a drink, it's made right then, I dont have to wait for it, and it's served to me with a smile and a "you're welcome ma'am". I have been to a few other places that just give you the drink and tell you what you need to pay, no smile. Everyone there is so pleasant!

And on another note, although it is a smoking building, the smell is subtle. I know this because I am allergic to cigarette smoke, and any other smoking bars I've ever been to, I get terribly sick, but they do a great job of keeping the air clean.

I've loved every visit to The Wheel and look forward to going back there in another few weeks!!

Very disappointing:
On Aug.2 in the afternoon, my husband and I decided to show our visiting family a taste of downtown Nashville. When I went up to the bartender for a second round of drinks she informed me that she only makes 2.50 an hour and without tips she makes very little money.Understanding that I let her know I would be tipping her at the end of our visit. She called me a liar and kicked us out of the bar!I was shocked!!!
