Torex INC Atv Rentals

Their ATVs were poorly maintained and easy to get stuck in the sand. People spent a lot of time struggling to get the buried tire out from the sand. There was no help from the rental company, you are on your own out there. My kid had flipped an ATV sideways and they claimed the handlebar was bent. I was charged $90 for the "damage", it was a scam but there is nothing I can do. Stay away from these people.

Sand Dune Frontiers seems to have disowned the ATV rentals side of the business and formed Torex Inc, albeit still advertises the ATV rentals in Sand Dune Frontiers brochures. Do NOT use this company. The ATVs are sub-standard and VERY poorly maintained. Foot brakes didn't work. Engines kept cutting out or losing power. Electric starters failed so had to use pull cord every time. 2 out of the 3 ATVs I rented had mechanical failures, stranding us out in the dunes. Couldn't get back by the allotted time as I couldn't abandon 2 minors who were having issues with their own ATVs. Had to fight very, very hard to get a refund and avoid the $1/min late fee. Never even got an apology. My wife chose to go on the Sand Dunes Frontier scenic tour ride and had to wait nearly an hour as the driver was also stranded out in the dunes with another defunct machine! Stay far, far away from this company.

bad service, high prices
tried to screw us (claimed we flipped oneof the ATVs and bent the handlebar - which we didn't do!)
Save your money and spend it elsewhere!
