Continues to be an Exceptional Austin Institution:
Though we prefer the more unique pre-renovation setup, Truluck's in the Austin warehouse district continues provide one of the more superlative dining experiences in Austin, especially if you enjoy good seafood. The servers are all extremely attentive - whether you're dining upstairs or just in the bar area. The live music is always nice downstairs and the ambience in the dining area upstairs is what you'd expect when you go to a classic, upscale venue. So glad to have such a fine dining establishment in Austin!

Great seafood:
Great seafood, great crabcakes, great wines (they have Vouvray, and the waiters know what it is), great service, didn't have to dress up.

Truluck's Seafood, Steak & Crab House Restaurant Review:
This Houston transplant features some of the finer foods in life: seafood, steak and stone crabs. Expect a boisterous after-work bar crowd enjoying the extensive choices of wines by the glass and a school of seafood lovers at dinner. First order of business: Dig into the stone crab whenever it's in season. We prefer the larger crab claws --- generally sweeter than the smaller size --- served...

Pricey-but-excellent fish, shellfish, and steak are served in handsome surroundings that suggest a businessmen's yacht club at Truluck's, part of an upscale chain with restaurants in Texas and Florida. The specialty here is stone crab: the company owns a fleet of crab boats and its own fisheries in Florida. Every Monday is all-you-can-eat Jonah crab claw night, but you can get them any day of...

This noisy Houston transplant features all the finer things in life: seafood, steak and stone crabs. In its industrial-chic shell resplendent with lofty potted palms, expect a rowdy after-work bar crowd enjoying the extensive choices of wines by the glass and a school of seafood lovers at dinner huddled in cushy booths. First order of business: dig into the stone crab whenever it's in season....
