Editorial Reviews

These archives recount the founding of Pinehurst through James Walker Tufts's letters, pictures, and news clippings, dating from 1895. Pinehurst owes its origins to Tufts, who once served as president of the United States Golf Association. The history of Pinehurst can be traced back to his decision to build a health retreat here.
