Twigs was the florist for my recent wedding after getting a verbal recommendation. That recommendation was apparently based on interaction with someone who no longer works at Twigs. My experience with them was as bad as I could imagine, short of them not showing up at my wedding. Avoid Twigs at all costs if you value your sanity. After Twigs received advance payment, I apparently ceased to be important to them.
Twigs was horribly unreliable and promised me samples (ie, photos via email) for MONTHS without sending them. Here is a copy of the email I had to send to Twigs (two weeks before my wedding!) get them to send the samples:

Please review the following timeline of our interactions thus far:
We had an appointment to go over samples in March (three months ago!)...which you canceled. You told me that you would take pictures of samples and send them to me. You didn't send them.
I waited 2 weeks and when I didn't hear from you I sent an email asking when you would have a chance to get those out to me. You told me you could send them after Mother’s day (about a month and a half later). You again did not send them.
I waited for two weeks after Mother’s day and emailed you again and you told me you would have them out "by the end of next week" that was on the 2nd of June. No pictures.
I called you around June 14th and spoke with a woman we said you were in an interview...I never heard back
I called your cell phone on 6/22 and again I didn't hear back
I called you again and you were not in... and I didn't hear back (I'm starting to feel pretty stupid by this point).
I called your cell phone one last time and finally I received and apologetic email saying I will have you samples by 4pm (eastern) yesterday and I felt better...but I heard nothing from you, and received no pictures.
I've given you seven chances, and you've failed seven times. I get married in two weeks, and based on your actions thus far, I am not confident that you're going to show up.
Please call me IMMEDIATELY so I don't have to find a new florist: xxx-xxx-xxxx
Once he received this email, Twigs called me and was full of excuses for why they had not sent the samples, their camera was broken, they were busy with wedding season (although Twigs did say they would send them after mother’s day thereby procrastinating until wedding season). When Twigs finally sent the photos, they were too dark to really judge the quality, the flowers looked wilted and it was obvious that Twigs had thrown them together to get me off their back. Keep in mind that I paid them $2000 in mid April, and they strung me along for MONTHS before sending me jpegs of flowers that looked like garbage.
On the day of the wedding the flowers were not any better. My bouquet was supposed to be bright blue hydrangeas and what I got was a very washed out blue with a bunch of yellow unbloomed hydrangeas in it. I had to spend the day spinning the bouquet around to make sure the spot was in the back and would not show up in pictures (it showed up anyway, and I get to look at these garbage flowers for perpetuity. Thanks Twigs). I was married in Bristol RI and drove by countless hydrangea bushes on the way to the venue that I could have used to pick myself a better bouquet. And for $175 I expected better flowers than what I could find on the side of the road.
I would not recommend Twigs as a florist to anyone. It is bad enough that Twigs is horribly unreliable (no bride needs to deal with an AWOL florist two weeks before the wedding), nevermind a florist who delivers a substandard product at an inflated price. My experience with Twigs was completely unacceptable. Avoid at all costs.
