For 100 years, United Way of Broome County has been fighting for the health, education and financial stability of every person in Broome County. In Broome County, the "united" concept of helping people dates back to at least 1918 with the formation of the Binghamton Un...ited Relief Organization. In 1954, three separate organizations serving Binghamton, Endicott, and Johnson City were combined into a single countywide organization, Broome County United Fund.
