Stay away from Fred Glick and his companies!:
Fred Glick, who is the owner of U S Loans Mortgage LLC and U S Spaces, Inc, was my real estate agent while buying a new construction house in 2008. He also provided mortgage quotes for the same house.
Before becoming my real estate agent, Fred promised to be present during the pre-settlement inspection of the house, and at the settlement. I saw Fred only once on the day when signing the purchase contract for the house, and never again.
He always had excuses not to show up:
1) For the pre-settlement inspection he said that he trusted the builder (Ryan Homes) that they would do a great quality job, and therefore his presence at the inspection was not required. I found *tons* of problems, a list consisting of several pages, which Ryan Homes has been fixing.
2) Although the settlement date was known weeks in advance, he said that he would be on vacation the day of the settlement and that he would send one of his associates instead. His associate did not show up at the settlement, and did not even bother to let me know what the excuse for not showing up was.
He was also extremely rude and unprofessional:
1) He used inappropriate words including body parts in our conversations.
2) He yelled.
3) He provided me a mortgage quote through his mortgage company. However, I found a lower interest rate and lower fee mortgage than what he had quoted. When I asked him if he could match the lower rate that I had found, he yelled at me that I was running and shopping around like *crazy*. Right... Why would a sane person shop around for lower rates when committing to a mortgage loan of hundreds of thousands of dollars!
4) When I decided to go with another mortgage lender, as my real estate agent I asked Fred what he thought about them (the other lender). He told me that I was on my own since I had chosen the other mortgage company versus his.
5) In several other occasions, which if written down would make this review too long, Fred explicitly denied performing his duties as my real estate agent.
I do not at all recommend Fred Glick as a real estate or mortgage agent. If for any reason you have to deal with him, be careful about his false promises, excuses, unprofessionalism, and rudeness.
