Incompetent! Constant changing of "the story"! Scammers?:
*I bought a bike from V5 on 7/26 that I was told by Trek was available
*Upon ordering the bike from V5, I was told the bike was $50 more than what I was told on the phone by V5 employee a couple hours earlier. Changing the price once someone walks in is such a scam! (Change #1)
* I was then told upon ordering the bike that it would take 1 week before it would be at the store for pick up. V5 employee confirmed that Trek had the bike in stock
*My husband went to V5 to check on arrival date about a week later and was told by the owner that now it was on backorder and wouldn't be in store until August 15 (Change of story #2)
*I called August 14 and the owner told me the order wasn't entered correctly by his employee and the bike was never ordered at all! (Change of story #3)
*August 15 I went back to get my refund and they still were incompetent and was refunding me too much money. I am an honest person and told them they gave me over $20 too much.
*This time owner changed the story again and blamed it in Trek (Change of story #4)
Changing of story, 4 times! Incompetents and unprofessional. Did they purposely not order my bike from the start because I didn't pay the $50 in extra shipping that they tried to tack on? Or did they just hold on to the cash and delay until the next truck load was expected? Why didn't the owner know the order was not entered correctly when my husband checked on it a week later? He looked in the computer and gave another date of August 15. My family and I wasted 3 weeks of our summer not able to ride bikes together and now I have to order the bike elsewhere.
