Before dropping off my sewing machine on Friday to have a 'tune up', I made sure they were open on Saturday as I work in Missoula M-F. Yes, the blonde lady assured me that *name of man* would be in Sat. (he wasn't there on that Friday). I could pick up my machine on Sat. I verified their hours for Sat. At 2:15 Sat. I called because I had not heard from them and it is a 30 minute drive. (they close at 3pm) 'Oh he didn't show up today, I don't know where he is'. So, no call at all to inform me my machine had not been serviced. Glad I called before driving there. So now I had to wait a week to pick up my machine the following Sat. On Tues. he called and left a message on my voice mail that the 'repairs' had been made and I could pick it up. ??repairs?? So I called the shop, no he wasn't in, she read the invoice telling me it would cost $20- more than quoted when dropping machine off. She gave me his home number, I called, left a message and asked him to call me. NO return call. The next day, I called the shop again, and left him another message. I called a third time, NO RETURN CALL. So I went to pick up the machine today, Sat. the man of course was not around. The blonde lady called his house, I could hear a woman on the other end of the phone saying no he wasn't there. NO satisfaction at all. My main complaint is this, I was NOT contacted prior to 'extra' work being done on my machine. Mechanics do not do 'extra' work on a car until they have discussed it with the owner of the car. Same principle. My second and actually Bigger issue is that the owner of the shop would not return my call. How very RUDE and disrespectful to his customer. I will NEVER return to his shop again. NO customer service, NO respect, and definitely NOT professional. I hope NO ONE goes there and has this type of experience. I will be sharing with my sewing and quilting friends.
