We were discriminated against for being latinos!:
We had the WORST experience with Vacation Hit, specifically with Diana and Kevin. We rented the Tuscany Villa property this past December from them. I had a contract for 6 guests to stay at the property overnight. My husband and I wanted to invite our family for dinner. I checked the contract and he contract EXPLICITLY states that the renters "ARE LIABLE AND RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURIES THEY OR THEIR GUESTS MIGHT SUFFER". So we were allowed to have guests. There were only 6 of us staying overnight and my family was only there for a small dinner one night. Diana came to the door and created a tremendous scene, yelling, pointing the fingers in my face, calling me a liar and screaming to me and members of my family. She kept yelling at me telling me to leave or she would call the cops. At one point she walked in the house, got in my face and yelled "LEAVE, I'LL GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK". I said no, that we had paid and that she couldn't do that legally. I kept telling her that my husband was on the way to talk to her. I even tried to show her the contract to explain there was obviously a communication issue, because the contract stated that we could have guests. The contract states I could have guests, yet she kept calling me a liar. She even tried ripping off the contract from my hand and told me I had to leave. They called the cops anyways, yet the cops did not respond because what they were trying to do was illegal. I had a contract, and had paid IN FULL, including a $500 refundable deposit. My mother in law, who has had open heart surgery was in the verge of another heart attack because this lady was threatening us to kick us out. This lasted hours. My brother, who like me is from Cuban descent, walked outside to talk to them, along with my sister-in-law and niece. The gentleman that was with Diana, who I believe was Kevin, at one point yelled in front of my brother "This is a not a house for a bunch of latinos to come here and destroy the place". This was obviously a very offensive and racist comment towards our family. After pleading over and over again, they agreed to leave and that they would return at 11pm that night to check that no more than 6 guests were staying overnight or that there were any damages. Kevin came back at 11, my husband walked him through EVERY SINGLE ROOM and he said then that everything was in good shape. Well, now they are not wanting to refund our $500 deposit because they say we left damages. I took video of the ENTIRE property the morning we checked out to document how clean and perfect the house was left. Note: Our check out time was 10 AM, yet Kevin showed up at 9:20. This was yet another invasion of our privacy. Nevertheless, we left the house is perfect condition, We even took the garbage out from the bathrooms and the kitchen!!!!!! The pictures they sent of the alleged damages include their grill, which was disgusting and nasty when we got there, and I have pictures of, some random scratches on the wall, which does not even show what room of the house it is, and oil spots on the driveway. REALLY?! This is a rental property….what do they expect? Not to have normal wear and tear?? They are trying to keep our money based on lies and fueled by their obvious racism. They had an issue with us being there because we are latinos. Well, they are Germans, and I did not have a problem with that!! I followed the contract and did everything we were supposed to do. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!! It was the worst experience for us and our family and completely ruined the occasion for everybody. My niece and nephews were not only concerned but afraid and my brother had to hear their racist comments towards us. STAY AWAY from their properties! Please be advised that the family members we had over for dinner included firefighter, police officer, nurse, teachers, active military personnel, and even a judge. They just did not like that we were latinos.....
