Horrible...don't ever move here:
When I moved to Valley Stream last year, they were awesome. They were flexible and understandable. Then they got a new manager. She is unworkable, unflexible and completely infuriating. Before they waived fees, they were reasonable and made you feel like they valued you. Now there is little understanding. I have turned in notice to move out this month. I have been unable to proceed due to icy walkways, large falling icicles that fall from the roof and are dangerous. They just NOW requested special parking for plowing when there are so few parking spots due to the pathetic plow job this season. I have not paid my rent due to disputes with previous fees and they are still saying they will proceed with eviction when I have already covered all policies to inform them I am moving out. This is completely unreal.
I have black mold growing on the inside of my sunroom, which is unusable in the winter due to no insulation. I have gone through a container of drano every month and still have standing water in my shower. My dishwasher barely cleans my dishes and leaks most the time. I have stopped calling for repairs because the front office has not been responsive. When I do get repair work, the tech asks me to please state the problems on their Facebook page due to the continued problems with the lack of assistance the front office provides. And don't get locked out at night. Emergency wants to pass you off to many other people. I only got in cause my neighbor is personal friends with one of the people that works in the front office and knew where he lived on the property and got me help.
My parking lot has no room for me even without snow, and out of the 8 apartments in my building only 4 are occupied. My alliances are ancient.
Yes, it's awesome with the pets, and it's quiet and I would have stayed here but then the new manager came, and there is no flexibility. You must get a money order if you are late, and you must get it by said day and there is no concern that all the banks are closed and you can't get it. I get more compassion from my car loan company who is in Florida than this new manager here. I will never rent from Monarch Reality ever again.
