Customer Service with a side of Condescension.:
My experience with Vannucci Foto and Video was abysmal. I must disclose that I am not a photographer. I did not turn to Vannucci to develop photos or purchase a camera. I went to purchase film canisters for use in a charitable program works to foster a love of science among “at-risk” children, which I explained to woman who handled my transaction.
I turned to Vannucci to purchase film canisters for an experiment that I was doing with the kids. I went in with a pleasant attitude, prepared to pay for eleven film canisters. I forced to overpay for a cheap can of plastic and the (co)owner(?) was seemingly defensive of the price per canister.
After I sampled the experiment, I realized that I did not truly need the canisters, so I went back to Vannucci, to return my unused film canisters, receipt in hand. At which point I was told by the same woman that they don’t take returns of film canisters, because people come in frequently to purchase the canisters so it doesn’t make sense to buy them back. If someone can make sense of that, you are wiser than I. As I walked out the door, she condescendingly said that she “hoped I found another use for them.”
I could have accepted that they have a policy of not taking returns but the wild excuse was insulting.
I cannot attest to the quality of photos and cameras at this small business, but I can tell you that my experience with their customer service was awful.
