Please read this before considering tlc:
TLC is an incredibly incompetent veterinary hospital, with the largest flaws existing within the staff itself. My 13 y/o cat BooBoo, who was diabetic, was developing problems with unstable blood sugar readings. For 12 years, I administered insulin injections to her twice a day, and she had always thrived with her medication and a healthy diet. She was the sweetest, friendliest creature, and I never had any complaints whatsoever about her. She was adored by family and friends alike. I took BooBoo to TLC on Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood in order to address her increasingly hard-to-control blood sugars. Dr Howie Baker wanted to keep her the whole day to do some tests on her blood sugars during the course of the day. Well, due to total incompetence and carelessness, Dr Baker left the facility early, and forgot to write orders for his staff to continue monitoring BooBoo's blood sugar levels after she received insulin. She was injected with insulin, placed in her cat carrier, and shoved into a corner of the back room. Several hours later, when I came to pick her up, nobody had checked on her for the past several hours, and they had me pay and basically shoved the cat carrier into my arms and me towards the exit. But I wanted to see BooBoo so I put the cat carrier down and opened it to greet my cat. She was unresponsive, drooling, and barely breathing! The staff just stood there and one member even stated that she was fine. I screamed for someone to check her blood sugar. When they finally did, it was 25 (incompatible with life). When I pleaded for someone to administer glucose to her, they said that I would have to have her readmitted there and pay accordingly. Otherwise, they refused to do anything further. I grabbed the car carrier and sped over to VCA Veterinary Hospitals. She required an IV and admission. Three days later, she was still comatose and unresponsive. The doctors there told me that they had tried everything, and they advised euthanasia. This happened 4 months ago and I still cry whenever I think about my beautiful cat being shoved in a corner at TLC, and completely neglected as her blood sugar levels progressively dropped until she was almost dead, and how she was never once checked upon. I managed to keep her alive and thriving for 12 years (well beyond the life expectancy of a diabetic cat), and TLC and Dr Baker managed to kill her in one day! If you love your pet, do not take him to TLC (both in West Hollywood or South Pasadena, as Dr Baker runs them both).

well, i sure wish i would have reviewed this bus. before I took my frankie, jack russell there. my story is repeated in stans . that is exactly what happened read my story on "ripp off report and yelp and others who had the same thing happen, they push and push to get you to ok treatments , they care nothing for your pet. yes the min wage latin workers in the back do, but the little militants that man the front desk, cannot even let you think for a sec before they demand payment, after $3400 for a snake bite, they had the sweet mexican guy bring out frankie, he was in a carboard box, out by the trash cans. they told me only one dog died from snake bite in 8yrs. i then complained about their outrageous charges and my friend said jokingly do not complain till you get your dog home. i laughed, they wont kill my dog........ that night 1am the great actor dr. h. of tlc called pretned he was sobbing, i never heard from him again, oh frankie passed on, after they just told me he was doing better and i authorized a 300 treatment, please help me put this dangerous place out of business

Go anywhere but here:
This place is the absolute worst in compassion and service. If your pet has a Life threatening problem they could care less about it until you make full payment for care that may or may not be required then forced to sign a form and hand over payment. You will NOT get monies back for services that were not performed. My best friend was left to lay on the floor barely breathing and nothing was done until I came up with the 750.00 on a sun morn (1:00 A.M) 45 min later I got hold of a friend who came down to give them payment as I left the house without my checkbook etc. By then it was too late, 15 min. after they finally took him in the back he passed. An hour I was told by my regular vet would have made all the difference of being alive and dead. (My regular vet was not opened at 1:00 A.M)Trust my opinion and countless others not to take any of your pets here, this is just the tip of the iceberg so to speak of what occured at this horrible facility.
