I am a resident of Viewpointe apartments, which fall under Gordon Management's umbrella. Ongoing balcony revisions for the past 1 1/2 months has negatively affected me- and I suspect other residents too. They were inspected by/for Gordon Inspection, and found to have absolutely needed repairs. Aside from the 1st floor, all 8 floors needed essential repairs/updating; to me this would indicate that perhaps the balconies have become dangerously degraded. I found out as much(balconies needed repairing) when I called Gordon Management's office. I had called to request that $150 be taken off Feb. rent, given the- what I considered- untenable noise and vibration, stemming from the construction crew's heavy equipment(This is no commentary on the construction workers. They were just doing their job, and were very pleasant. Especially when compared to Gordon Management and Viewpointe leadership when voicing my concerns and objections). I was told by the contact at Gordon Management, that the environment wasn't untenable; there would be no compensation. The following day, I told construction I didnt want them coming in; my roomate and I were sick (I also have ongoing breathing concerns. Furthermore, there are very young and very old residents; a number of whom have health concerns). The Gordon Contact called me, and threatened immediate eviction, if I didnt comply. I pay rent on time, every time. This was jarring. My physical currency mattered not, it would seem. ONLY THEIR- poorly executed in pursuit of- BOTTOM LINE. Shame on you, Mr. Corkram! (Mr. Corkram is the Gordon Management contact. His last name is either Corkam or Corkram. Not quite sure how to spell it)
