This in response to to the letter that “Dawn Hartman” supposedly posted. My name is Sarah. I just picked up my three pets from Vinjons Kennel in Yorba Linda. Needless to say, this is by far the best experience that I have ever had with a boarding facility.

That said, after reading the initial post by “Dawn”, I contacted her for verification. She did indeed say that she could supply names of past employees that would agree with her comments. When she failed to send me these emails, she got very upset that I didn’t just believe what she was saying. She also signed the email ‘Kim’. Now I don’t know whether or not her name was Kim or Dawn (apparently the real ‘Dawn’ has since posted to the thread on another site disclaiming what was originally posted. I verified this with Vinjons). Here is the final email that I received fro her:

Are you kidding me? your going to sit and wait for more people to tell you what i said and risk a chance to lose your trip when there is a beautiful kennel down the way called country care pet resort that i promise you is not only thee most caring but prominent as well. As i said i didnt even board my own cat for free wen i worked there i paid to care at country care pet resort., i dont work nor affiliated with them so im not selling them...im recommending only. Do as you please....they are your kids right? would you allow even heresay to come between a decision? i wouldnt...but its on you. Bye good luck. Kim

What I don’t understand, is if the listing said her name was Dawn Hartman, who is this Kim person?

It sounds like this person ‘Kim’ is a disgruntled past employee. She made a comment concerning the SPCA. There have not been any infractions against Vinjons Kennel from the SPCA. Needless to say, when I informed them that someone was making a comment that Vinjons had an inside informant, they found this very interesting. I even checked with Yorba Linda code enforcement and they had nothing on file against Vinjons Kennel. The more I looked into this, it sounded like a case of bad apples on the part of fake Dawn, this lady called Kim.

I cannot speak for anyone else’s experience, I can only tell you how mine was. I was referred to Vinjons Kennel by family and some friends that live in the area. The next time I visit my family out in Orange County, I will definitely be using Vinjons Kennel again.

I worked at vinjons kennel for almost nine years. In those years we saw incredible greed. When they offer play time its a joke! Dont book around the holidays they stack the dogs on top of each other in crates. When the y.linda kennel is overcrowded they will crate your dog to the chino kennnel. They allow the dogs to sit in thier own feces and pee until they are scheduled to go home and than and only than are they washed down. The partner, judy, was the greediest of all. There was no animal to be turned away no matter what. Thats how greedy she was. It meant we were overworked and dogs were over crowded. Had i known i would have been fired for filing workers comp i would have video tapped everything first. The place is ran like a sweat shop. If you want further details and other testimonies just email me and i will have an entire full email page of ex workers signitures. If you want a quality fine excellent place to board your animal (i worked there for a month) go to the "pet resort" on prospect owners gregg and sue clepp. They have workers who actually do the playtime! Dont just check off the box as if they actually did it like vinjons. If you want quality kennel they have someone walk the kennel continuesly if there is a poop left over a half hour there is trouble for the kennel keeper of that day. No dog is abused. Vinjons is a greedy sick place that is about money. I dont write this because i was fired for injuries substained by a dog i write this because i always have wanted too since i worked there and had i only just thought more of the dogs than my job i would have prevented alot of injuries, deaths and sickness to your pets. It was cruel. I cry still when i think about the cruel way the dogs were treated, tossed around, stacked into crates. There is no air conditioned buildings, music piped in. They dont show the entire kennel on thieir "sales pitch" they show the part the want you too see so you believe that it is nice. Its not nice. I am proof that osha and spca have been called out. We were to quickly maintain the grounds before they came. They have a "source" that tells them before hand they come.
