At the Virginia Discovery Museum children can step inside a giant kaleidoscope, explore a reconstructed log cabin, or watch bees in action in a working hive. The hands-on exhibits are meant to interest children (and their parents) in science, the arts, history, and the humanities. The museum is at the east end of the downtown mall.
