Tips

If you’ve stepped through the unmarked entrance (save for some half-torn paper handbills bearing the bar's name) into this dim Shanghai-themed speakeasy in Boystown, congratulations: The diminutive den’s entrance is purposely nondescript. The next task is deciding between a spot at the mystic bar, where puffs of fog rise from a smoke machine, or one of the six tables, dispersed among crimson lacquered pillars and ornate trinkets. A list of elaborate martinis, like the Geisha--a pineapple-passion fruit concoction with fresh lime and a floating orchid--keep with the theme.

Know Before You Go:
Don't forget to hit the ATM on your way to the bar; it's cash only.

Editorial Reviews

"Picture an opium den" and you're onto this "stylish", "dimly lit" Boystown haunt where DJs stir up a "good time" for the largely gay clientele; nitpickers suggest it "could improve on drink quality a bit" and might be "too cool for its own good."
