Awful... just Awful:
Awful... Just Awful
Bare with me... cuz this is long... but its an awesome story!!
Summary: Credit statement showed more charged than what was on my receipt. When called to correct, front desk & manager unwilling to help & instead created false accusations of me & my party.
Story starts here:
$595 charged to my card, on 8/24, which is 1 day prior to the date I presented any card to hotel staff(!), & receipt I signed on 8/25 is $50 less. Hmmm... privacy issues... feeling rather uncomfortable about that...
"Manager" Brittany quickly stated "I did not take your money" when I called to correct the charge; which I found to be strange, never occurred to me that an individual had taken the extra funds#
Long story short, she was unhelpful - so I had to go up another level to Jason...
I know about $50 - can you believe it? Would be funny, if not so sad :)
Oh sorry forgot to mention, that Brittany randomly decided damage had been done to my room, what did she call it, oh yea, the bed was stabbed... yes you read it here first... STABBED! If your laughing, your not the only one... I stopped once I realized she was serious - I guess its one way to get me forget about theft# I played along at first, and said to show me proof - response was "I won't do that"... Hmmm... curious...
The worst part is I stayed here based on a referral from a friend, an employee, well ex-employee and she's nice enough to apologize to me, so far she's still the only one - some hospitality... get it! :) even convinced me how great the management team was...
Y'know he actually stalked me a little and found me on LinkedIn, creepy right?! Turns out, he doesn't even list the Weathervane as part of his employment... I dunno... I just don't get it... if you figure it out leave a comment... rather curious if I'm the only one who's had this really crazy experience dealing with these folks?
Result: Never addressed my card charged before presenting it
Result: Never received apology, not for extra charge, not for taking days to respond, not even for the rude staff
Result: Never mentioned this stabbing of the bed again - I guess the bed survived? Or at least didn't feel enough pain to complain to them... who knows...
Result: Jason & Brittany fired my friend
3 things I know for sure:
1# Jason = creepy internet stalker, but more importantly does not want to be associated with The Weathervane #can't say I blame him there#
2# Brittany = just plain crazy... wonder what she's on!
3. Our fun weekend, an extra $50 charge, & trusting the management staff cost my friend her job.
Only truly upset about that last one, should've just let them keep the $50... didn't think it would end up costing so much...
Have you had a similar or any strange experience at The Weathervane? I'm so sad right now and it always helps when you find out you're not alone...
Thanks for reading!
