Awful. Dishonest Mgmt.:
Awful. Immediately after moving in, I brought up problems with the apt to the old mgr. The flr was coming up & missing tiles. Her solution was to put a rug over it & don’t walk bareft. There was an odor from the central air. I took out the black filter & brought it to the office. S. told me the maint. guy marked my unit as having it replaced. S. handed me a new one. In so many words I was told to just change it …no sense in bringing it up. The smell endured (mold?). We don’t smoke/ no pets. She told me to spray Lysol. My child was sick so I purchased air filters, air purifier,etc.. The bedrm window was stuck when I moved in. She sent maint. to open it. The last tenant left hooks on the right & left so as the wind blew the blinds, the piece that brushed against the hook broke off. I told the old mgr this. She asked if I could just remove them. I did. She never offered to replace the blinds. b4 she retired, I asked her if she would note my file so that when I move I would not be charged for it. She claimed she did. There is a new mgr now. It is approaching the end of my lease. I call to confirm she has that note in my file. She didn’t. She came to the unit, saw the blinds & hooks that I saved. She saw the flr w/tiles coming up in the kitchen & bath. She has my intent to vacate already & sends the flr guy to look at it who says he would have to pull the entire flr. I told him we were moving if he wanted to wait until then considering all the dust & stuff he would have stirred up in the process. I didn’t hear back from the new mgr or him so I guess that is what they decided. The new mgr walked my apt the first time she came to see the blinds. I asked her then if everything looked okay carpet, walls, etc. She said it was fine. I asked if I needed to have the carpet cleaned & was told that was something they would do. She told me she would contact the old mgr S. & ask her about what she apparently did not note in my file.Move out day comes. The new mgr R. walks the apt & says all is well. She confirms she spoke with the old mgr S. who did confirm what I stated. I turn in my keys. She asks me to give the forwarding address to return the deposit. I move over a thousand miles away & get a bill for damages. In short, since I have posted an extremely long review. She says I was not charged for the blind that the old mgr said indeed was broken but there was another one that she did not check during the move out that the maint. guy said was broken (the same maint. guy that lied about the filter). I am charged for changing all the carpet, new countertops, etc. The only thing I wasn’t charged for were the tiles. I told her she walked through the unit & said all was well. Her response was she didn’t check everything, there was a stain that would not come out, etc. She explains that the blinds were new that were broken as they always put in new blinds. She was going to find the receipts. She broke her word & never did that. I had curtains up & the blinds were basically untouched the time we were there. I was blown off. I called back & explained she did not call back & it was wrong to walk my unit & say it was okay & then say something completely different which was not right. She told me she would speak to the owner but they do not want anyone to have their name or anything, everything must come to her. The new mgr R. calls back & says the owners agree with everything & I can make pmts. To this day, she will not disclose info about mgmt. So if you have a complaint, no luck in reaching her boss. You will not be given any info. I received a collection ltr for the damages. All of my rent has been paid in full, she went back on her word, gave me a clean move out inspection (verbally), then denied it, & refuses to advise who is her boss. It may seem nice on the outside, but is not worth the he// endured. It is totally unjust & the mgmt is deceptive.Lessons learned: get everything in writing & smiling faces tell lies.
