After decades of using Wheel Works for all my tire needs with only one major dissatisfaction, I quit going there due to an incident last year. I had a flat repaired by Wheel Works on Concord Ave and they incorrectly remounted the tire on the rim. Although the outside or the tire was clearly marked by the manufacturer in three languages, Wheel Works mounted it inside out. The first time I drove the car on a trip a month later I noticed that it handled poorly and was squirrely on corners. When I looked, the tire was mounted backward.
I returned it to Wheel Works and told them that I was not happy and that I was concerned that the tire had been worn due to being mismounted. The said nothing but agreed to fix it. I told them that I expected them to return the cost of having the flat fixed considering I had to take time to bring it back. The manager declined to do this.
I then asked him how something like this happens and pointed out that it could have been dangerous. He told me that Wheel Works relied on their customers to point out their mistakes. The people I dealt with were pleasant enough.
Now I order my tires online and have a better selection and are a bit cheaper usually
