In 2011 my family and I got transferred, originally we used Northpointe. I was so taken a back by how bad they were that I just knew it was a fluke. The tenants basically paid when they wanted and I only found out when I called the company to ask why I hadn't gotten payment. So I switched to Wick and Mullins..MY GOD!!! They were just as bad if not worst. My manager was Michelle Collins, she comes across as sweet but quickly becomes very passive aggressive when you get passed the small talk and start asking real questions in regards to your home and management. She wouldn't return calls, or emails in a timely fashion, sometimes she was just blatantly dishonest about her lack of communication and follow through. She would say "Oh I thought I called you back what's your number"? I would say the same number it always has been. She would say "oh I called the wrong number" She would always send bad news late in the evening. Her attention to detail left a lot to be desired. Saving grace was Lisa Self. The company itself does not care about management. They have a maintenance company that is in house but they tell you they get quotes from vendors, when you ask for an invoice you never receive it. Michelle sent me a random email message that My AC in my house had gone out and it was going to be almost $3,000 to fix it, oh I haven't disbursed the rent yet which is $1625.00 I can just take it out of that and you can pay the balance of $1,300? She just sent the email like it was nothing. I I told her the house was only 5 years old and the AC was still under warranty. I asked for an itemized invoice of the issue , parts and labor. It quickly turned into the AC needed freon. That was when I knew we had a problem.
When I ended our contract after they let the tenant leave without doing a walk through and left my home trashed. They then posted pictures of the house not cleaned after tenants moved to the HAR website because they were too lazy and unprofessional to show my home in its best light. since the tenants did not pay rent, the deposit quickly became their next scam. BEWARE Wicks and Mullins does not use outside vendors. The will lie to you and say they do but the have a in-house "maintenance " company named Hometown Maintenance, owned by who else but Sue wick and Mr Mullins the owners of the property management company.
They quickly decided they were going use every dime. I asked for invoices nothing, when they finally sent me and invoice it was a generic document with no dates, no outside vendors like they claim, no parts or labor prices, just numbers. I am definitely upset with how this company has went out of their way to scam us out of 1800.00 and think that nothing is wrong. Now they are not answering any of our phone calls. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY WAY FROM THIS COMPANY. IT IS SHAMEFUL they've been allowed to continue to do business .
