Wild Basil Thai Restaurant

Bad food + Bad Service = Bad Value = I will never go there again.

We've been ordering delivery from Wild Basil for eons, back when it was Joy Luck. It's just as good now as it was then. The prices are a little high but right in line with similar Chinese restaurants. I think they lose out on some business because of the extremely busy pizza place next door, but you are definitely missing out on a good meal if you pass Wild Basil by. The staff always seems to be in a hurry when you call to place an order, leading me to believe they either a) do an incredible take out/delivery business - or - b) they could improve their friendliness. But we don't order delivery for the service and it would bother me more if it was like that and we were eating in the restaurant.

They deliver about as quickly as the pizza places, but it costs about double. The food is about 10 times better tho, and it's delivered hot and fresh since they don't cook most things until you order. Delivery is free with something like a $10 purchase - and within a 3 mile radius (I think). Otherwise they will still deliver for a small fee.

After living in this area for 10 years and sampling every Chinese restaurant around here at least twice, I always go back to Wild Basil. I can't speak to the level of their Thai food - but if it at all resembles their Chinese cuisine, be prepared for large portions and speedy service. I'd recommend it to anyone! :)
