Wishbone Restaurant Review:
When we have a craving for Southern cooking (and Cajun-Creole), Wishbone is the place to go. Mind you, it's also one of Chicago's best values. We favor the chicken etouffée, jambalaya with shrimp, pan-fried chicken, blackened catfish and, well, all the rest. Side dishes are first-rate --- collard greens, mashed rutabaga, okra and tomatoes, to mention a few. At lunch, you can check out the...

What to Eat at the 2014 Pitchfork Music Festival:
If you've already made plans to head out to Union Park this weekend for the ninth installment of the Pitchfork Music Festival, perhaps you're curious about what food options will be available to you. Wonder no more, as options ranging from ribs to vegan food to Latin cuisine to gelato will be available to the massive throngs of music fans for the nearly sold out weekend (tickets still remain...

It's Lights Out For Yonder, the Trippy Wishbone Concept Downtown:
If you never experienced the bacon tree at Yonder, that chance has passed you by. After six months serving Southern fare in a third-floor space in the Jewelers Center on Wabash decorated with fried eggs on the ceiling and pickup trucks on the walls, the smaller Wishbone concept is closed. The phone line is out of service and the property is on the market.

Serving "Southern vittles" "with a smile", this "affordable" "down-home" duo also puts a Cajun "spin on breakfast"; the settings are "relaxed" and feature a "spacious patio" in the West Loop and an art-filled interior in Roscoe Village, and though the service can sometimes seem "harried" due to "noisy kids" and "hideous lines for Sunday brunch", it remains a "longtime favorite."

Information from the business

Noisy, lively and fun, this big sister to the original restaurant on Grand Avenue is an attractive diner. Experience its floor to ceiling windows, lots of seating, a bustling bar and counter service. Corn muffins arrive at your table as soon as you sit down. The wide-ranging menu, with its decidedly southern emphasis, features crab cakes, Hoppin' John, blackened chicken, ham on-the-bone and a...
