Would rather stay home:
My mother was coming in for a visit and my daughter wanted to take her out to tea. We called to make reservations at Rowena's but found out it was closed. Since With Flair is close by we decided to give it a second try even though our visit 3 years prior had been a total bust.
Well it was about the same. We waited in the lobby for so long I finally decided to call the tea room from my cell phone to inform them of our arrival and of another guest who was trying to check out. In order to order High Tea you must do so in advance which we did, and still we had a long wait. I was shocked when we got the bill, over $70 dollars for the three of us and barely any food at all.
We had to ask for refills on our water and again wait in the lobby to check out. This was far from a relaxing, enjoyable experience.
I often host tea parties for my daughters friends, bridal or baby showers I think next time I will just treat my mom at home.

Absolutely Wonderful:
My daughter's wedding shower was held at With Flair Tea Room in September, 2009. It was delightful. The service was excellent, the food and teas just right. We were treated like royalty. I can't wait to return with my friends for lunches. Pam and her staff have done a wonderful job. I will and have recommended this tea room to many friends. Pam deserves all the positive recognition she can get. This is a wonderful and much needed addition to Chesapeake. Many of the guests at the shower are "true" tea drinkers and some are very picky about their tea. They could not say enough positive things about With Flair and based on their visits to other tea shops--some of them as far away as Charleston, SC--With Flair is at the top of the list. I am thankful that Pam continues to offer this service to our community.

Never Again:
I am the Director of The Virginia Tea Society. Our group visited the With Flair Tea Room on Saturday, June 21, 2008. Our reservations were for 1:00 and had been placed several months ago. We arrived at 12:45 assuming that we would have time to set up for our meeting/tea. When we arrived the tea room was completely full of other parties. We waited on the front porch of the tearoom, outside in the heat, we finally decided to hold our meeting there since we had no idea when we would have access to our room. We were offered ice water but it was never served. When The bridal shower attendees came out they said they had no idea that there was another party waiting. After waiting approximately forty minutes, we were told that we could have access to our room. They offered two kinds of fruit teas and the service on that was slow. No lemon was served and only four sugar cubes for a table of four. The tea was called a Royal Tea but was actually an Afternoon Tea. The food that was provided seemed to be leftovers from the previous party. The sandwiches were dry and had very little filling. The scones were dry and hard and they did not serve clotted cream, just some type of whipped cream. The desserts were partially melted and hard to handle. I feel that the event was poorly handled, there was no suggestion of a reduction in price, in fact according to their menu, we were overcharged. Greed will cost them customers. I will not go there again nor will I recommend them to any else.
