Is very unprofessional and I need to contact her corporate office she has this we Africans are better than you black African americans type of attitude and as long as i have breath in me I will contiunue to give tis place a bad review until she has been terminated To whom this may concern I went into your place of business attempting to put in an application. I was approached by and African woman that was very rude and insulting. I had a head scarf on my head as I am a cancer survivor and a Muslim as well so for cosmetic and religious reasons I wear my scarves. I asked for an application. She says and I quote in a strong heavy African accent in a tone that was very condescending "oh no you have got to be kidding me your joking right" (laughing in my face) I ask what are you talking speaking of? She continues to laugh and says " I know you did not come in here in a head scarf applying for a position to work here" she then turns to the receptionist laughing and says have you ever heard of such a thing I must be out of fashion because I've never heard of such a thing professional people don't wear head scarfs to work please tell me this is not what you wear to work" I replied "yes I do wear these to work I make them actually and I know a lot of professional people that wear scarves to work", Again she looks at me and says I must out of fashion because I have never seen such a thing this is ridiculous and walks me back out your door never handing an application all the while making me feel humiliated in front of your other staff members and less than human as an individual I didn't ask for this disease it just happened but I should not be made to feel like my way of coping with it is wrong like my wearing a scarf goes against dress code I did not have it on my head in a manner that it appeared as if I had just rolled out of bed it was strategically placed on my head in a manner that said I did this as a fashion piece and it matched my outfit this is me this is who I am my religion also calls for this as well so she insulted my culture and way of life all in one meeting if this is the type of management this company has. also I phoned her to ask for corporates number or to speak with her superior she refused to give it to me stating "you can speak with me I am corporate". I have never in my life been treated so unprofessionally or been so insulted in my life when will peoples ignorance and stereotypical condescending ways end
