We dealt with two agents from Worth Properties, Lisa Short and Helen Golter, for the last 3 months while buying a home. The first contract did not work out. The second contract got as far as the inspection. Worth was representing us (the buyers) and the seller. However, at the end of the 2nd business (Thursday) day after the inspection clause was signed…thus making the signed contract null and void… both our agents said the seller wanted to meet the next day (Friday) to make a punchlist of his own with explanations for the contents of the inspection. We could not wait since our landlord needed to lease the house we have been living in, and she had 2 potential clients scheduled on the day of inspection clause expiration (Thursday). Thus, we were forced to sign another year lease with our landlord since the house seller was dragging his feet with the contract and we did not trust him to negotiate. Once we told Helen and Lisa that we were not interested in buying the house, they got the inspection clause signed by the seller after business hours on Thursday, and showed it to us at 8PM.

We were very clear that we did not want the house any more, and since we mentioned this after the close of business hours on the 2nd day as mentioned in the inspection clause, Worth and the seller had breached the contract. When we tried to get our earnest money back, Lisa and Helen denied ever saying that the seller wanted to meet on Friday to review the inspection clause. Because of their actions, we lost our earnest money. Lisa Short and Helen Golter are both liars, lack integrity, and a disgrace to their profession. Instead of telling the truth, they lied in order to avoid being blamed for losing the sale. Please avoid them and Worth at all costs. I would not recommend these people...agents that were supposed to represent us... to anybody!!! They are only interested in making the sale, and are not interested in helping you.
