Don't ever rent from Zender:
Where to start!!!! How about at the beginning. The staff there are very nice when viewing apt. they don't pressure and seem conciencious of what your needs are. That is the only good thing i have to say.

On the flip side what they fail to mention is the lack of security that there apts have. There are countless non residents in and out unescorted. During my stay there were several homeless people staying in the laundry room at various times. People could get to your apartment door without calling up. I realize that calling buzzing in is not the most effiecient system in the world but it was rediculous.
Secondly if you are a day late with rent you recieve relatively nasty letters from the front office. If you are more than a couple days late they charge you $298 for lawyer fees, since they have already started the eviction process. There is no quarter for late payments in this business and they have no sypmothy.
Parking is a nightmare waiting to happen. I had my car stolen while living there, thankfully my car was found and returned but without the parking pass that was given to me. I did not realize the parking pass was gone, i was just happy to have the car back. When i woke up the next morning my car had been towed by Zender. I went in to ask for the tow fee to be returned to me and they told me know that it was my fault that the parking pass was not in the car. That is poor business practice if you ask me.

They have 3 washers/dryers for a 70 unit building and finding time to do laundry is a joke, mind you that you also have to by tokens from them to use this equipment.

Maintanence is non existent. It takes them forever to come and look at a problem and when they do the half fix it so it just reoccurs a couple of weeks later.

The areas that these apartments are in are infested with homeless and drug abusers. That could be my fault for not going to a little higher rent district. And some of those people its not there fault there homeless but the drug abusers thats a different story. I could not get a full night sleep due to the constant traffic throught the halls late night.. i look several time to see what the disturbances were and found that most of the time they were caused by the afore mentioned undesireables.

When you move out they nit pick and have no problem charging you for the "damage". This damage is usually typical wear and tear that any respectable apartment complex would simple take care of. No they charge you. If you do not pay them for the damage in a timely fashion, less than a month after vacating, then they take you to court with out even blinking. This is where it gets fun. Although they have a forwarding address for you they file the order with the apt address you formerly lived at as your address. So when the court order comes you will not get it, hence you do not have the opportunity too defend yourself. this results in a judgement filed against you and then garnishment of your wages.

Simply put, do not rent from them they will run you throught the ringer and not look back. Plus they must have some public official in there pocket to be able to get away with the things they do.......
