Founded in January of 2000 by visual artist Nicholas Harper, the Rogue Buddha Gallery is a multidisciplinary and experiential art space, home to the visual arts, dance, film/video and music. Working primarily with two-dimentional painters, the Rogue Buddha Gallery also offers sculpture, pottery, and photography by emerging local and national artists.
In 1976 Zolla/Lieberman Gallery moved to a converted loft space in a then desolate industrial neighborhood and founded the area that is now known as the River North Gallery District. It was in that inaugural year that Zolla/Lieberman Gallery gave a solo show to an unknown artist named Deborah Butterfield.
